In 2022, The Border Watch partnered with the Mount Gambier History Group to assist establish giant numbers of photographs.
Each version we now have run an unidentified picture, and lately we caught up with the history group to see what number of photographs have been recognized.
Secretary Jeanette Aslin stated the mission had been very rewarding for the group.
“It has been really great to name some of these people in these photographs,” She stated.

She stated the group had hundreds of photographs, donated by native households, companies and photographers.
“A lot of older people come in and say ‘my family aren’t interested in this family history’, so they’re happy to find a repository that will keep it for local people and accessible to others that may be searching or are just interested in looking at the photos,” she stated.
