When examining players the Cincinnati Bengals should attempt to recruit after being dismissed after final cuts

loosely defined, tight end O.J. Howard came in first place. It turns out that one will happen.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that if Howard passes a physical, he will visit the Bengals and sign with them

That was quick: TE OJ Howard, a free agent, is seeing the #Bengals today, and if all goes well with his physical, he is anticipated to sign, according to a source.

This should come together today after the former first-round pick made an unexpected cut yesterday.

Former first-round selection Howard played into the second part of preseason games this summer but was unable to make an impact with the Bills.

Howard's ability to contribute in the passing game seems to have been hampered by an achilles injury in 2020, although he is still a huge asset as a blocker.

Given the loss to third tight end Mitchell Wilcox, the Bengals would be wise to add that.
